We are excited to announce the release of the official history book of OII and P&V. This book has been decades in the making, beginning with a rough draft commissioned by Ed Owen in the 80s, and ending with its publication by our friends at Legacy Preservation this summer. The tome is as much a history of the Midwest and the steel processing and fabrication industries as it is a retelling of Paxton & Vierling’s last 133 years. The book details how the 19th, 20th and now 21st century and its economies, wars, floods, commodity fluctuations, and depressions impacted the evolution of the corporation, and how the thousands of current and former employees succeeded in a variety of conditions.
